An Invitation to Give ‘To Space For Earth!’
2022 was the year that Space for Humanity fulfilled its mission to send our first Citizen Astronauts to space. What’s in store for us in 2023? With your help, not even the sky is the limit!
Dear Space for Humanity Community,
We are blown away by the incredible year that has been 2022. It was an amazing year for ventures off planet (more on that soon), and historic for the evolution of Space for Humanity’s mission.
In 2022, we:
Sent two people to space on Blue Origin’s New Shephard; the first Mexican-born woman and first woman from the African continent. Both have credited these flights with exponentially elevating their own impact in their home countries, with highlights including:
Speaking to the Mexican President and congress about advancing STEM education and women’s rights;
Being featured as a Glamour Woman of the Year in Science
Both are now forming their own nonprofits in their passion areas to further impact the world.
Launched our Citizen Astronaut Training program to support the aforementioned two astronauts and began developing connections to other flight providers to engage their flyers
Received 2,921 applications from 138 Countries for our Citizen Astronaut Program, bringing our total to over 10,000 applications since our founding;
Our mission was directly featured in 350+ media pieces, including via CNN, Vogue, Business Insider, Entrepreneur, Forbes, People, Ars Technica, Washington Post, and many more –exposing millions to the Overview Effect and influencing thousands of decision makers who are leading the future of human space exploration;
Expanded our movement to an incredible 250K+ members of our highly engaged online community (please join our conversations on Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn);
Strengthened our internal capacity to grow our programs, positioning us to engage more people in our mission and expand access to space to all humanity!
