Portrait of Antonio Peronace

Executive Director of Space for Humanity

Antonio Peronace is a strategist, communicator, and organizational leader with nearly 20 years of experience across the public, private, and nonprofit sectors. He has conceived, planned, and achieved wide-reaching missions that have helped shape local communities, national policies, and global change.

A first-generation American with dual citizenship, Antonio is dedicated to pursuing broad changes that benefit everyone on the planet. From working in local and state government, to being named the first Creative Director in both the U.S. House of Representatives and the U.S. Senate, he consistently produced creative products, developed effective strategies, and broke with traditional approaches to foster results and large-scale success.

Antonio complemented his work as a public servant by founding and running his own successful communications, marketing, and production consultancy. He spent years exploring new and exciting projects that contributed to the greater good by providing services to the federal government, political candidates and parties, businesses, NGOs, and nonprofits. He left his private practice to serve as the Chief of Staff for a District Attorney’s Office, challenging himself and others to deploy effective change and deliver justice reform to a constituency of over a million during a highly charged time.

Ultimately, it was Antonio’s compulsion to serve a greater good and passion for science that brought him to nonprofit work. As a consultant for The Planetary Society he worked closely with seasoned advocates, subject matter specialists, and Bill Nye “The Science Guy” to promote and defend vital space programs—from Capitol Hill and foreign embassies to laboratories and launch pads. As Senior Director of Digital Influence for the Environmental Defense Fund, Antonio devoted himself to demystifying scientific data and conclusions while affecting policy reform on a global scale. He regularly took complex subject matter and made it accessible and actionable for all.

Now, as Executive Director of Space for Humanity, Antonio continues to leverage his diverse skills, driven by a long-held passion for space and science to generate innovative solutions to complex problems. No problem is more complex than shifting our global perspective at this critical moment for the human species. That’s why the work that Space for Humanity does—from sending purpose-driven citizens to space to shifting planetwide dialogue about our inescapable interconnectivity and recognizing our cherished position in the cosmos—is of such vital importance right now.
