Space for Humanity Inclusion Council

In our updated 2025 Inclusion Council structure, we have placed a strong emphasis on driving actionable results and fostering tangible change within the space sector. We have identified two key projects for 2025, each designed to deliver measurable outcomes that will contribute to a more inclusive and diverse space industry.

Members of the Inclusion Council are now strategically aligned with specific projects, where they will contribute their expertise and dedicate their time to ensuring the successful execution and outcomes of these initiatives.

Project 1: Internal Audit of CAP selection, CAP program and organizational inclusion.

Project Outcomes: Conduct a comprehensive audit of the CAP selection process, the CAP program, and internal organizational structures, culminating in a final report that outlines key areas of success and identifies opportunities for growth.

EIDA Statement

Our Equity, Inclusion and Diversity (EIDA) Statement clearly articulates our commitment to facilitating an inclusive future in space and a culture where everyone belongs.

Our hope is to create a model worthy of inspiring other organizations to adopt an Inclusion Council of their own.

Inclusion Council Pillars

  1. Respect of Different Ways of Knowing
All ways of knowing are valued and needed to create full understanding.

  2. Understanding the importance and variance of lived experience
The individual experience may have overlap, commonality, and connection with others, but will always be a unique lived experience.

  3. Respect of Self Identification
Consciously removing gatekeeping of community membership. Allowing the individual to have the autonomy to self-identify identity and or community membership.

  4. Acknowledging the complexity of intersectionality in inclusive topics
Understanding that inclusive topics very often overlap, intertwine, and have shared history that affects individuals simultaneously.

If you are interested in supporting our Inclusion council or adopting our model in your own organization, let us know. We are always eager to support others as they contribute to a more inclusive future here on Earth, and beyond.
