Ben Simkins
Creative Director
Ben Simkins is a creative director, independent filmmaker, and educator whose career has been defined by a commitment to expanding human perspective through story. With more than two decades of experience across film, television, and community‑driven creative work, he brings a rare blend of artistic vision, emotional intelligence, and strategic clarity to every project he leads.
After over two decades in the US, now based out of Bath, UK, Ben’s work spans narrative filmmaking, documentary storytelling, and collaborative arts initiatives designed to help people see themselves, and one another, more fully. His work has led him through some intriguing terrain from interviewing Ralph Nader on the campaign trail of his final presidential run, to directing music videos with over 70 million views, most notably for the stars of RuPaul's Drag Race. Over time, he has evolved into a multidisciplinary creative leader, directing projects that centre empathy, curiosity, and social impact.
Ben is currently focused on projects that bridge storytelling, ethics, and collective imagination, exploring how narrative can help humanity envision a more equitable future. He believes that when people are given the chance to see the world from a new vantage point — whether through art or through spaceflight — they return with a deeper sense of responsibility to one another.
