Jane Poynter is co-founder and CEO of World View Enterprises Inc., which is pioneering advanced high-altitude balloon platforms for applications that include remote sensing, weather, communications, research and space tourism. She was formerly Chairman, co-founder and President of Paragon Space Development Corporation, specializing in life support and thermal control in extreme environments. She has a patent for self-sustaining habitats that flew on the International Space Station, producing the first animals to every complete multiple lifecycles in space. Ms. Poynter was also a member of the Biosphere 2 design team and a member of the original crew who lived inside the sealed, self-sustaining habitat for two years. She is the author of The Human Experiment: Two Years and Twenty Minutes Inside Biosphere 2, and Champions for Change: Athletes Making A World of Difference authored with support from the United Nations.
