Aisha Said/Maikala Harris (she/her) is a passionate advocate for inclusion and an innovative strategist in the space industry. With a background in inclusive education and extensive experience leading inclusion initiatives across diverse sectors, Aisha has worked in Canada, Mexico, Kenya, Macao, and Dubai. Her career spans education, HR, and consulting, specializing in creating strategies that ensure success for all individuals.
As the Director of Programs at Space for Humanity (S4H), Aisha leads and designs the Citizen Astronaut Program (CAP), a groundbreaking initiative that prepares everyday individuals for the transformative experience of space travel. The program guides participants through a comprehensive journey, equipping them with the tools to maximize the positive impact they can create upon their return to Earth. Through CAP, Aisha helps foster a new generation of Citizen Astronauts who are empowered to address global challenges and inspire change.
Additionally, Aisha is the designer and chair of the S4H Inclusion Council, overseeing Task Force Teams and ensuring successful project outcomes while promoting best practices in inclusion.
Aisha is also the founder and CEO of Universal Inclusion, an organization dedicated to advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) in the space industry. Founded in 2022, Universal Inclusion provides DEI coaching, audits, and inclusive recruiting services, and leads a movement to empower underrepresented communities in space.
Aisha’s vision is to break down barriers and foster an inclusive future, both within the space industry and beyond.
Aisha is currently based in Egypt. In her downtime she enjoys leatherworking, exploring new cafes, and restoring furniture.
