Viren Mehta is the founder and managing member of Mehta Partners, LLC, an advisory firm specializing in global life science consulting and research. For more than three decades, Mehta has advised BioPharma leaders and investment managers on how to expand global healthcare access. He began his career at Merck & Co., before moving on to Wood Mackenzie & Company and S.G. Warburg & Company. Always looking for ways to be on the cutting edge of the industry, he created Gather Health, which aimed to bring together providers and patients' personal networks for real-time support. He served as an independent non-executive director of LakeShore Biopharma; as a director of Onconova Therapeutics; as a director of BlinkBio; and as a director of OSI Pharmaceuticals. With a passion for ecology and education, Mehta's philanthropic work includes the viram Foundation; Project HOPE, an international global health and humanitarian aid non-governmental organization; and the Venice Family Clinic, the largest community health center in the United States. He received his Pharm.D. degree from the University of Southern California and his M.B.A. from the University of California, Los Angeles.
