  2. Create a <90 second video answering 2 questions:
    (A) Why do you think you should be chosen? and
    (B) What activity would you want to do in weightlessness to help inspire the next generation?

  3. Be sure to tag Emily and Space For Humanity in your video's caption. 
    Make it public and encourage your students/community to share.

  4. Use the hashtag #FlyWithMeInZeroG in your application.

F.A.Q.

  • Q: What is the end date to submit my video?

    • A: April 15th.

  • Q: When will the results be announced?

    • A: April 30th.

  • Q: Where is the Zero-G flight departing from?

    • A: The flight will depart from Long Beach, California.

  • Q: What else will I need to prepare ahead of my travel?

    • A: Be sure that you have the proper visa status to travel to the United States. You are responsible for ensuring your ability to arrive prior to June 1st.

  • Q: How can I create a video link?

    • A: You can submit a video by posting it on your social media account/s. Make sure it public so that we can view it and that you are following Space for Humanity’s account/s. Then simply paste the link to your video in our online submission form. A specific Space Mentor may request you apply through a certain platform, so be sure to read their specific application guidelines!

  • Q: How will my video submission be used?

    • A: Once submitted your video entry may be used in promotional materials by Space for Humanity and/or your Space Industry Mentor to promote the campaign.

  • Q: How else will my image be used?

    • A: The weekend events, including the flight itself, will be photographed and recorded to help inspire others about space travel. You are likely to be recorded as part of these proceedings and your image could be used for marketing. All participants will be required to sign an image release form.

  • Q: Can I enter multiple times?

    • A: No, only one entry per person to fly with the Space Mentor of your choosing is allowed. Duplicate entries will result in disqualification.

  • Q: How will I receive my ticket for the flight?

    • A: Space for Humanity will be in charge of your entry to the flight. No physical/digital ticket will be provided beforehand.

  • Q: Are there any age restrictions for entering?

    • A: Participants must be 18+ to be considered.

  • Q: Can I bring a guest to the event and flight?

    • A: No additional guests will be permitted.

  • Q: Can I do my own research project during the flight?

    • A: We are not authorizing individual research projects onboard this flight.

  • Q: How will the winner be notified?

    • A: We will notify the winners individually through email. Also, we will post the winners on our social media accounts and the accounts of our Space Mentors.

  • Q: What if I cannot attend on the specified dates?

    • A: No other dates can be honored for this giveaway as it is a specific event that you will be attending.

  • Q: What else should I be prepared to know?

    • A: Terms and conditions pertaining to the flight itself can be found in the Zero-G waiver that all participants will be required to sign: https://waiver.smartwaiver.com/w/610036647c7a6/web/ 

    • Further terms and conditions may be presented in addition to this waiver.

    • Some terms and conditions may differ depending on requests made by specific Space Mentors.

Xploration Outer Space Terms & Conditions

1. Eligibility:
Participants must be at least 18 years old, be a teacher at a K-12 school, and legally reside in the United States.

2. Contest Period:
The contest begins on Februrary 19 and ends on March 28th. Entries submitted after the deadline will not be considered.

3. How to Enter:
Participants must complete the steps outlined above. Only one entry per person is permitted.

4. Winner Selection & Notification:
Winners will be chosen based on their answers to the two questions outlined above, their creative presence in their video, and their video's reach. The decision of the judges is final. The Principal (or other noted contact below) will be notified by March 31st if the winner is selected. The Principal (or other noted contact below) will communicate with Xploration Outer Space to coordinate a surprise with the winner in class. If the Principal does not respond within 2 days, an alternate winner may be selected.

5. Attendance Requirement:
Winners must be available on April 11-13th, 2025 for filming and the ZeroG flight. Failure to attend may result in disqualification and selection of an alternate winner. (We will be filming and flying the 12th and 13th, in Florida, so depending on where you live, you could arrange your flight to leave late afternoon/early evening of the 11th) We know how hard it is for teachers to take off work! 

6. Use of Likeness and Content:
By entering this contest, participants grant Xploration Outer Space, Emily Calandrelli, and Space For Humanity the perpetual, royalty-free, worldwide right to use their name, likeness, video submissions, and recorded content for promotional, advertising, and commercial purposes in television, social media, and any other media formats without additional compensation or approval.

7. Prize:
The winner(s) will receive a free trip to and flight with ZeroG alongside Emily Calandrelli and be featured in Xploration Outer Space, . Prizes are non-transferable, and no cash or other substitutions will be provided.

8. Liability & Release:
By participating, entrants agree to release and hold harmless Xploration Outer Space, its affiliates, employees (including Emily Calandrelli), and agents from any claims, liabilities, or damages arising from participation in the contest or acceptance/use of the prize.

9. General Conditions:
Xploration Outer Space reserves the right to modify, suspend, or terminate the contest if circumstances beyond its control compromise its fairness or integrity. Any attempt to tamper with the contest process will result in disqualification.
